Giffnock Soccer Centre (GSC) was founded in 1995 by a group of dads keen to teach their children the rudiments of football in a safe and fun environment. We are now one of the biggest clubs of our type in the country with over 1000 boys and girls currently at the club, The club is run entirely by over 200 volunteers and coaches.

Our 2005 age group take part in 7-a-side football each Saturday morning, where we have over 50 boys playing in seven teams.

The games are run by ERSDA (East Renfrewshire Soccer Development Association).

Our Saturday teams and weekly coaching sessions are run by 14 coaches who use their spare time to provide the boys with the chance of playing football and developing their skills.

All our coaches have been disclosed and have the required ERSDA minimum of SFA Level 1 Early Touches coaching qualifications, while many also have Level 2 Coaching Young Footballers certificates as well.

Most of the boys have been with us since Primary 1 where they started at the Soccer Centre’s Mini Kickers.

The Soccer Centre is also available for new boys or girls wanting to play football.

When children join the Soccer Centre, they will be assessed by the coaches to see if and when they are ready to be involved in a team.

However, teams can only be accommodated if there are enough volunteers willing to coach.

Currently we are looking for new coaches to help take at least one new team next year into ERSDA.

If you are interested in joining Giffnock Soccer Centre, please feel free to conatct any of the coaches listed in the Contact Us Page.
