Joe,
Thank You for inviting us to your tournament all the boys and parents had a fabulous time. Everyone commented how well organised the whole tournament was which is a massive credit to you and your club. I hope you have gone a long way towards getting the additional funding you need for the new facilities.
It was really refreshing to play football in such a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Especially after the season we have just had, which has been ultra competitive with a number of fall outs with the opposition. Although I must admit I was a bit unsure when there were no refs and wondered who would control the games lol. I think throughout the two days there was only one occasion when the coaches had to get involved ( I ended up giving a penalty against us for a foul by one of my boys. The other coach came over and shook my hand).
On behalf of Oldham Rangers I would like to express our gratitude for arranging such a fantastic event. The last ten months preparation was all worth it well done and good luck next season.
Thanks Again Duncan

Hi Joe,
Congrats on a superb festival. We get to see a lot of them and yours was certainly right up there.
Just to let you know we have created a hub page for all coverage relating to the event. It can be accessed here – http://www.youthfootballscotland.co.uk/news-a-media/featured-news/5144-giffnock-sc-international-festival-centre – it would be ideal if you could include a link on your tournament website.
All video and photography is up, we just have the overall review to come. Will be in touch when that is online.
Kind regards,
Robbie Forsyth

Hi Bernie, I hope you’ve recovered from the weekend. I just wanted to say thank you for a fantastic tournament. Our sons Fraser (1996 Saltire) and Duncan (1999 Mearns Boys) had a really good time. Morven (under 9 girls) enjoyed watching the games and experiencing the wonderful atmosphere.
Well done
Jill

Joe,
Let me add to the loads of messages of congratulations for the amazing success of the weekend that you and your committee must have had. It truly showed the club in the best possible light and took us to a different level. To see the volume of kids and coaches that we now have within GSC really emphasises that the club does make a difference to people’s lives. Brilliant!

Dear Joe
Congratulations on the football festival – What a fabulous two days for the boys!  We hadn’t realised the scale of the event and were astounded at the huge number of people at the event – I’m sure I guessed at least 1000 people in view on the Sunday at Lochinch. And such great organisation too – match programme, food, entertainment, transport, trophies to name but a few.  We know how much effort it takes to organise any event so please pass on our congratulations to your team for all their hard work.
Thanks for inviting us – we spoke at length to the Danish group on the Sunday (and of course at the reception on Saturday) and can report back to you that they were genuinely pleased with everything you did (and very grateful too).  It was surprising how many of our twinning connections from Albertslund were known to the footballers!
The Twinning Association is delighted that the Albertslund connection has been established and I will be happy to help put you in contact with any of the other Partnership towns in Europe that you would like to visit to play football, or indeed invite them here to East Ren.  If you want any help applying for European funds, I will be pleased to do that too.
We hope that East Renfrewshire Council appreciates all your work as much as we do and will continue to support you well.

Joe
Just a quick email to pass on my personal thanks and the thanks of all 2001s players, coaches and parents for organising a marvellous tournament at the weekend.
I’ve already been contacted by Eastwood Juveniles and East Kilbride to thank us for inviting them – and they’re already angling to come back next year.

Stuart/Joe,
I’ve been on holiday for a few days hence the reason for the late plaudits. Please pass on our thanks to all at GSC for a fantastic weekend of football; the organisers and volunteers deserve enormous credit.  I hope it was a financial success for GSC and we look forward to next years tournie!

Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say it was great to be involved in your event last weekend.  What a fabulous event you and your team organised – huge respect to you.  I hope you are now able to sit back and reflect on the successes, having seen the results of all your hard work.
i hope you were happy with pulse.   We certainly had a great time, it’s lovely to be involved in something so positive and where everyone is enjoying themselves.   it was very kind of you to ask one of the PULSE RADIO team to present the certificates @ the end, I’m sorry i didn’t see that.
We were delighted to have been asked to work with you and would be keen to work with you again.    Please don’t’ hesitate to get in touch with me or Raymond in the future if we can help in any way.

Hi Joe,
Just a quick email to say thanks for letting Westwood Rovers 2005’s participate in last weekend’s festival. Both our teams had a great time and i think the experience gained will be crucial in there development. Please accept this as a token of appreciation and also i would like to comment on how well the festival was organised and it ran smoothly.
All the best

May I thank you and your Organising Committee for the wonderful job you did for the Soccer Centre. It was truly inspiring to view the spectacle of so many youth and children involved in a great football sporting occasion and the joy of their participation. Easily one of the best football events that I have witnessed in my 69 years of football involvement, including 43 years of coaching and related club activities.
So many parents, grandparents, and past and present football contacts expressed their gratitude for the Club and all that it is doing for our community. They were amazed at the efforts and progress of the Club and they wished their thanks to be passed to you and your Committee, to the General Committee and its Chairman, and to all our coaches and helpers.
I am aware of the efforts which you made personally and I give you my heartfelt thanks.
May your efforts for the Club Tournament be the spur for all of us in the Club to work for even greater success as we try to assist our youth and children in the development of successful lifestyles, using the game that we love in their achievements.
Thank you,
Andy Davies.

Joe
I’d just like to thank you on behalf of the Barrhead YFC 2004s.
