Results Service 1 September 2018

The 2006s and The Girls definitely had the best of the results this weekend.

2006-First win of the season for GSC 2006 with a great display at Norwood against Palace Park.

Reds also had their first win against Drumchapel with the Blacks drawing away to Morton. Great day for the age group.

2005 – GSC 2005 lost to table toppers Glenbrae 3-1 while the Reds won by the same margin away to Glenvale. Goals from Lewis T, Aaron and Connor resulting in the Reds moving to 2nd in the league.

MOTM was Alex in goal . The Blacks remain unbeaten although a very flat performance means they drop to 3rd in the League.

2004 – An away defeat for the Whites who have played 3 of their 4 games away from home

2003-GSC 2003 beat Johnstone Burgh 5-3 to move into 2nd place in the league. Two evenly matched teams played out a thrilling match but in the end it was a well deserved victory with every player playing well. The Reds lost to table toppers  Westerton.

2002- The Reds lost to high flying Glenvale and the Blacks had an excellent 4-0 win away to Ardencaple with goals from Shaun,Glen,Adam P and Rory. Great penalty save and all round display from Keiran earned him the MOTM. Academy were well beaten in the Scottish cup by Newmains with Scott D getting a consolation goal.

2000- GSC 2000 lost narrowly to Albion Rovers. A goal down we equalised then the referee chalked off a goal only for us to miss the resultant penalty kick. Scored again to go 2-1 up but lost two quick fire goals to throw away the points. Caledonia were down 5-2  and came back strong to 5-4 but ran out of time.

Amateurs- GSC Jordanhill drew 3-3 at Norwood in the Scottish cup against a very strong/physical Rhu team. We played the better football and were 3-1 up before losing soft goals from corners. Again in the Scottish cup the Amateurs lost to Colville Park one of the best amateur teams in Scotland.

Girls-Under 13s A great comeback from the girls having been 0-3 down after 40 mins. The girls dug deep and pulled it back at the death, scoring 2 goals in the last 3 minutes to draw 4-4. Special mention to Katie who pulled off a string of great saves to keep us in it.

Under 15s won 3-1 against Drumchapel with an excellent display at Norwood.

Under 17s drew 0-0 away to Riverside
